Extended Literacy Guides: Many students learn best when objects are added to support learning. These files open as PDFs unless otherwise noted. Books: The book is presented as simply-stated text with picture symbols. 
To find all song titles, search by “song” in the search field. There are vision friendly PowerPoints that connects images to the song’s content. Songs: Many younger students respond to music to learn vocabulary and use movement to connect to what they hear.The best option for all features is to download onto a MAC or PC with FULL versions of PowerPoint. PowerPoints may not display or have all the features (sound, animation, etc.) if an iPad/Tablet/Phone is used to access them. *These files will be downloaded as PowerPoint 2010.To find all titles as a show, search by "show" in the search box.
Students can use a mouse or other click device (switch) to move through the pages.
Show: These PowerPoints* (ppsx) present the book in an interactive manner. To find text materials, search by "text" in the search box. The pictures and text are on separate slides, with words that are highlighted when read. These materials are adapted leveled-readers and use predictable text. They have a black background, use high-contrast, focused images, and present targeted text. Text: CVI/M or CVI/P - These PowerPoints and Movies are CVI friendly. To find all titles as a CVI PowerPoint, search by "CVI/P" in the search box. The book is read to the student and the student can change slides using a switch or mouse. CVI/P: These PowerPoints* (pptx) are more CVI-friendly, have a black background, use minimal detailed pictures, movement, reduced color complexity, and incorporate many familiar images when possible. To find all titles as CVI movies, search by "CVI/M" in the search box. The movies can be played on most iPads and many other devices. CVI/M: These movies (mp4) are more CVI-friendly, have a black background, use minimal detailed pictures, movement, reduced color complexity, and incorporate many familiar images when possible. To find all titles as a VI PowerPoint search by "VI" in the search box. VI: These PowerPoints* (pptx) have a black background and are created for students with a visual impairment who need high-contrast, focused images that convey book concepts. There are four types of presentations available.
